How do I get SmartTRAK Updates e-mailed daily?

Click on "Settings" in the upper right of the screen. Then select "Daily" instead of "Weekly."

 

How do I use "Smart Search"?

The "Smart Search" is located in the right column of most pages and contains a simple field for you to enter a search term as well as a quick list of recently updated profiles. Smart Search starts working the moment you type in your first character by switching to display profile matches. The matches narrow as you enter more characters. Click on the match to go to the profile.

Tip: Click on the "Recently Viewed Products" (the green header) to change the "Smart Search" display to display "Recently Updated...". Click again to change the display to "Recently *Added...".

What is "Product Explorer"?

The "Product Explorer" provides an interactive way to search the SmartTRAK product database. Click on a column "filter" (the blue button under the column name) to see filter options available. Select one or more checkboxes and move your cursor away from the menu to apply. Select additional filter lists as desired. Filter options are dynamic and only show available options.

The Product, Company, and Strategic Alliances fields have mini-Smart Search fields instead of buttons. Enter characters to filter the column.

Tip: A blue column name indicates that the column can be sorted by clicking on it.
 

What is a "DataBank"?

A DataBank is a folder that you can copy Articles or Profiles to. BioMedGPS industry experts are constantly keeping the Articles and Profiles current. BioMedGPS Articles you save to a DataBank are automatically updated as well - an "Updated!" icon will appear next to updated items in your DataBank.

Create a DataBank by selecting "Add DataBank" in the top of any DataBank tab. You may keep the DataBank private or share it with a team. Team members will be able to add items to the DataBank.

You may also create your own Articles and save these to a DataBank. (Your items are not updated by BioMedGPS industry experts, but you may edit your own Articles.)

You may re-arrange, edit, or delete your own items in a DataBank by using the menu (the blue triangle on the left).

 

What is a "Team"?

A SmartTRAK "Team" is a private list of subscribers from the same company. Subscribers may share DataBanks with a Team and only members of that Team may see/contribute to that DataBank.

Team members may also set files they add to Company, Product and Market profiles for Team access. When another member of the team views that profile they will also see the file(s).

Team membership is set up by a SmartTRAK account manager.

 

What types of profiles are included in the OrthoBio module?

Any biologic or biomaterial under development or on the market for bone, cartilage, meniscus, soft tissue or joint fluid repair/ replacement.

 

Why don't I see a certain company or product profile in SmartTRAK?

How can I find something I put in a SmartTRAK profile?

The "My SmartTRAK" tab in the upper right (above your DataBanks) has a "My Attachments" link. This provides you with a convenient list of every comment and/or attachment you have posted. You may delete an item by clicking the "Edit" link.

 

How do I change my e-mail address?

Click on "Settings" in the upper right of the screen. Then enter your new e-mail address and click "Submit" at the bottom of the form.

 

How do I change my password?

Click on "Settings" in the upper right of the screen. Then click on "Change Password" at the bottom.

 

How do I print a profile?

SmartTRAK profiles may be printed using your browser's print function.

Tip: The profile automatically optimizes the layout for printing by hiding the DataBanks and Smart Search.
 

I selected "Send as Spreadsheet" in Product Explorer but I've not received my spreadsheet.

There is no delay with SmartTRAK, but it may take a few minutes for your e-mail provider to process.

Tip: Make sure " This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it " doesn't get caught in junk mail filters!
 

Is my data secure?

We understand that the security of the data you add to SmartTRAK is important. We have designed the site's security framework following industry best practices so that each subscriber has access only to their personal and team data. Attachments are hosted with additional encryption processes. Access to your data by BioMedGPS personnel is limited to web support staff for administrative purposes only. BiomedGPS editorial or administrative staff do not have access to customer files and notes.

Customer files are kept separate from system files and all access to these files is strictly logged.

Each subscriber has their own unique user ID and password in addition to a valid cookie that is required for access. All communication between the site and your browser is encrypted with an advanced level of SSL that authenticates our site in your browser. Our site is hosted in a secure data center with controlled access and security. Backups are nightly and are archived in a separate secure location.

We are vigilant about the security of SmartTRAK. We'll work closely with our clients on solutions for their unique security needs.

 

Which browsers are recommended?

SmartTRAK is designed to work on most modern browsers, but things will be smoother if you're using an up-to-date version of a mainstream browser. We recommend the latest versions of these browsers:

  • Mozilla Firefox 3.5 or greater (Mac and Windows)
  • Safari 4.0 or greater (Mac and Windows)
  • Internet Explorer 8+ (Windows)
